Essential skills for every stage of life
The Skills Builder Partnership defines the eight essential and transferable skills that everyone needs, providing a common employability language through the their Universal Framework and Expanded Framework (for SEND).
A online self assessment tool, Skills Builder Benchmark, helps students discover strengths and areas for improvement, breaking down each skill into themes and then smaller steps to allow for quick and easy reflections, and supports them to recognise and talk about their strengths.
Sheffield City Council has partnered with Skills Builder as an Impact Organisation member, and we are working to align the See It Be It campaign to the framework to develop an impactful, measurable and reflective programme offer.
