Roundabout is a Sheffield charity helping young people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. The team offers support, safe places to live and help getting back on track. Marketing Assistant

As a Marketing Assistant, you would help tell people about Roundabout’s work. You might post on social media, design posters, write stories or help organise events to raise money and awareness. You would work with the fundraising and communications team to share powerful messages that inspire others to get involved. Creativity, good writing skills and an eye for detail would help you succeed in this role.

Trainee Homeless Prevention Worker

As a Trainee Homeless Prevention Worker, you would help young people at risk of homelessness before they lose their home. You would learn how to talk to families, schools or landlords and help sort out problems before they get worse. You would work with experienced team members, gaining knowledge and confidence through training. You would need to be friendly, non-judgemental and passionate about helping others stay safe and secure.

Administrative Assistant

As an Administrative Assistant, you would help keep Roundabout running smoothly behind the scenes. You might answer phones, send emails, organise paperwork or update computer systems. You would support different teams to make sure information is accurate and tasks are completed on time. You would need to be organised, helpful and able to work carefully with sensitive information.

Hostel Project Worker

As a Hostel Project Worker, you would support young people living in Roundabout’s accommodation. You would help them with day-to-day life, from learning to cook to managing money or finding work. You would also be someone they can talk to when they need advice or support. You would help make the hostel a safe, friendly and respectful place to live. You would need to be a good listener, patient, calm under pressure and keen to help others build brighter futures.

Maintenance Worker

As a Maintenance Worker, you would keep Roundabout’s properties safe, clean and in good condition. You might fix broken furniture, unblock drains, paint walls or carry out regular checks to stop problems before they start. You would visit different houses and hostels, helping to create comfortable spaces for young people. You would need to be practical, reliable and happy to work with your hands.

Fun fact: We have supported thousands of young people since we began in 1977 and now support over 380 young people aged 16 to 25 every day.
