Baker

As a Baker, you would start work early to prepare fresh croissants, pastries and other tasty treats. You would follow recipes, measure ingredients, and use ovens and mixers to create perfect baked goods. You would also help with decorating and making sure everything looks great for the display. You would need to be creative, focused and enjoy working with your hands (and flour!).

Barista

As a Barista, you would be an expert in the art of making great coffee. You would learn how to use a coffee machine, steam milk and create delicious drinks like cappuccinos and hot chocolates. You would also serve pastries, chat with customers, and keep your workspace clean and tidy. You would need to be friendly, focused and enjoy working at a fast pace — especially during the morning coffee rush!

Coffee Shop Assistant

As a Coffee Shop Assistant, you would help keep the café running smoothly. You would serve customers, clear tables, restock shelves and keep everything clean and tidy. You might also help take payments and answer questions about the menu. You would need to be polite, cheerful and happy to help out wherever needed.

Shop Manager

As a Shop Manager, you would be in charge of running the whole café and making sure everything goes smoothly. You would lead a vibrant team, help with training new staff, and make sure customers are happy. You would also order stock, plan shifts and solve any problems that come up during the day. You would need to be a great leader, good with people, and confident making decisions under pressure.

Supervisor

As a Supervisor, you would support the Shop Manager and help lead the team. You would keep an eye on how things are running, make sure jobs are getting done and step in to help when needed. You may also open or close the café, handle cash and help train new staff. You would need to be responsible, organised and enjoy helping others do their best.

Fun fact: The world’s longest croissant was baked in Portugal in 2018 – it stretched over 26 feet long which is longer than a bus!
